Bibhu Mohapatra in Sarasota to Discuss Wedding Gown designs for the Wedding of Tom Luzier and Allison Beard in Tampa
(PRWEB) March 16, 2006 -- Mr. Mohapatra was in Sarasota the weekend of March 17th to take measurements and discuss the concept for a wedding gown for the marriage of Allison Beard to Tom Luzier.
Mr. Luzier is a local Sarasota lawyer and member of the famous Luzier boat building family and Allison Beard is the daughter of Richard A. Beard III, the Chairman of The University of South Florida's board.
The wedding of Miss Beard and Mr. Luzier is already considered to be the wedding of the year in Tampa. It will attended by 1,000 prominent guests mainly from the ranks of leading Tampa, Sarasota, Atlanta and New Orleans political and business families.
The wedding is planned to take place under the magnificent oaks that surround the Beard's Bayshore home in Tampa.
As a rising star, Bibhu Mohapatra has worked at J. Mendel, for the last six years. He has redesigned the world famous fur line and developed the chic couture line for the label. Mr. Mohapatra is a hot property because of his fresh innovative designs. The label is seen often on actors and celebrities and on the red carpets.
He has designed clothes worn by Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Julianne Moore, Eve, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Salma Hayak, Mandy Moore and Gwen Stefani among others. His clothes are often on the covers of the major fashion magazines- Vogue, Harpers, Elle, Instyle, and WWD.
The J. Mendel name is long established, with retail stores in New York, Paris and Aspen and a boutique in Bergdorf Goodman in New York.
Bibhu received his masters degree in fashion design from FIT in New York and also has a masters degree in Economics from Utah State University. He worked for Halston prior to joining J. Mendel.
The 32 year old Mr. Mohapatra was born in the Indian state of Orissa.
