Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Launches Honeymoon Registry
Honolulu, HI (PRWeb) January 26, 2007 -- Outrigger Hotels & Resorts has launched an online honeymoon registry service powered by TheBigDay.com. Wedding couples choosing Outrigger or OHANA properties for their honeymoon are provided with a "registry wizard" that helps them create a wedding registry where the items on the registry are activities and experiences they will enjoy on their honeymoon at the particular Outrigger or OHANA property where they will be staying. Wedding guests then have the opportunity to purchase a part of their honeymoon experience as a wedding gift that the lucky couple will remember forever. Couples are notified of gifts bought from their registry by email and (optionally) also via text messages sent to their cell phones.
Assistance with booking their honeymoon travel is provided by Pleasant Holidays. Couples can either book their travel online, or take advantage of travel consultation provided by Pleasant Holiday's travel experts.
"We're very excited to partner with The Big Day and Pleasant Holidays to make honeymooning in Hawaii with Outrigger an even more memorable experience," said Rob Solomon, Outrigger's senior vice president of sales and marketing. "The honeymoon registry is a wonderful way for family and friends to ensure the happy couple has the best honeymoon they can."
Couples pay no fees to sign up for the registry service, which includes a free wedding webpage, free wedding webpage announcement cards, and a free email account for organizing their wedding-related correspondence. Couples who book their honeymoon to an Outrigger or OHANA property through Pleasant Holidays receive a discount on the service fees charged on gifts bought from their registries. Normally, a 9% service charge is deducted from the gifts bought, but couples who book at least $2000 have their service charge reduced to 3.5%, and couples who book $3500 or more pay no service fee at all. "In fact, most of our customers get their honeymoon registry pay no service fee," says Michael Cottam, president of TheBigDay, "and as our customers receive an average of about $2000 in gifts from their honeymoon registry, they're able to make their dream honeymoon a reality."
To sign up for the honeymoon registry or find out more, couples visit www.outrigger.com and click on "Specials and Offers." From there, they click on "Gift Registry for an Outrigger Destination Honeymoon." The gift registry can also be accessed from individual Outrigger and OHANA property pages.
