Vivienda Estate Sets the Stage for Gay Weddings
Rancho Santa Fe, CA (PRWEB) June 17, 2008 -- Vivienda Productions today announced its plans to film gay marriages and honeymoons at the exquisite Vivienda Estate in California. Same-sex couples in California and around the country can now fly to San Diego, California where they can legally marry* and play a role in their own documentary film at Vivienda Estate, one of the most elegant private estates in the country.
Vivienda Productions is producing a series of private and public mini documentaries of gay and lesbian weddings, marriages and honeymoons. Same-sex couples can now have their love story, honeymoon or entire wedding experience filmed over the course of a day or more in a documentary format where the couples can tell their stories and say why marriage is so important to them. Friends and family are encouraged to participate in the filming. During their stay, Vivienda Productions will film and interview the couples along with their family and friends while "living on the set" at Vivienda Estate. We will film and document the events as they unfold, and the private or public nature of their individual lives shall be part of an on going documentary series, or remain confidential depending on the couple's personal preferences.
Vivienda is the perfect stage for a documentary series of gay weddings or honeymoons to be played out. Vivienda is a set-designer's dream filled with numerous historical architectural elements collected from around the world lovingly and thoughtfully placed in this elegant and memorable historic modern landmark.
Renee Hirsh, long-time wedding consultant with the French Gourmet said, "You couldn't find a more beautiful venue anywhere in the world than Vivienda Estate for a more intimate and memorable wedding or honeymoon."
"This is an extraordinary opportunity to share and witness the universal expression of love," said Suzy Brown, the creator of Vivienda. "My dream is for the public to see the reality of gay marriages. That their love and marriages are very real and meaningful in the fabric of society - our desire is to open hearts and minds. We believe this will ultimately be the key to preserving gay marriages when these personal matters are put to a public vote anywhere in the country**."
After spending just one night at Vivienda Estate during a casting, Patricia Barry and Paula Hermogenes from Santiago, Chile, could hardly find the words to describe their experience. "We felt something indescribable at Vivienda as if a protective energy surrounded us with love and serenity and would protect our relationship forever."
According to Drs. Kim Ward and Hilary Stokes, who were among the first to be wed at Vivienda Estate, "Vivienda was the most magical and intimate place for the deepest expression of our love. The essence of Vivienda moved us deeper into our hearts. We felt embraced by the pure love of Vivienda for which we are forever grateful."
"We are in the midst of a historic and conscious shift in our understanding of love and marriage," says Brown. "It is no longer between a man and a woman - it is between two people who commit to each other for life."
*California does not have a residency requirement for marriage licenses. Beginning Tuesday, June 17th, 2008 same-sex couples from around the country can get legally married in California.
**On May 15, 2008, the California Supreme Court reversed a state law prohibiting same-sex marriage on the grounds that such laws deny gay and lesbian couples the equality and dignity guaranteed in the state constitution. As soon as this landmark case was handed down by the high courts, the opposition filed for a proposal to be placed on the November ballot in California to amend the state constitution that would nullify this life-long dream for gays and lesbians.
"Now that the legal teams have prevailed in the California courts and have paved the way for gay marriages, it's time for the public to do their part to preserve them in the November elections," says Brown. "The best course of action to preserve gay marriages is through personal documentaries. So, let the cameras roll?"
Couples are encouraged to contact Vivienda Estate to schedule their private or public casting by emailing Vivienda Productions at casting @ viviendaproductions.com or calling (858) 756-9567.
A portion of the proceeds from the films will be donated to organizations dedicated to preserving gay marriages.

What Sort of Wedding Favours Should You Choose
Today, it may be difficult to imagine a wedding without wedding favours. Once, long ago, wedding favours were not an integral part of the wedding reception, but today many guests look forward to receiving sweet souvenirs of the special day. Wedding favours are small tokens of appreciation provided by the bride and groom for the wedding guests to take home and treasure either forever or for that evening, depending on the type of wedding favour provided (a lot of wedding favours are edible). Wedding favours are used to show the couples appreciation and gratitude toward the guests who have come from all over to share the special day.
