"I had wanted to be a business owner for a long time, so I did some research into different businesses, and I found that it was a feasible possibility," says Norma Hardy, owner and operator of Averons Wedding Bliss. "I found a company that would provide me with the sort of training I would need to start my business, and then I chose products based on the perceived need my customers would have. I figured they would need personalized and unique items, so when I did my research, I found that it was a good way to go. Now I want to help them share their experiences and build a community."

"My blog will be used to highlight the products on my web site, as well as to provide useful tips on planning weddings," she explains. "I'm planning to provide other kinds of relevant information, such as financial responsibility information, communication skills, and the like. I plan to post a few times per week, so that I have fresh and current information for my consumers."

The products, which include attractive cake tops, personalized jewelry, and wedding reception gifts, were all chosen with great care and intended to serve as lifelong keepsakes. Personal engravings on the items are done free of charge, and there are items suitable for weddings, bridal parties, and anniversaries. "I want to keep the line of products similar to what I have now, but I'll be adding more to the variety I offer," Norma says. "Maybe later on I'll develop another web site to offer another line of products, but for the foreseeable future I will be focusing on unique wedding gifts."

Norma is also involved as a community health educator, and her holistic concern with the health of individuals has led to some products on her site generating donations to the American Heart Association and to breast cancer research.
